Animal Reiki is a beautiful and safe way to deepen the bond with your Animals but is also a non invasive method to help treat them and balance any physical, mental/emotional issues which is especially important with rescue animals as we often don’t know there past.
It is also a great safe way to help increase energetic levels.
Working with Animals is always satisfactory in my opinion as they never say “oh I think I felt something” they either respond or they don’t.
We have three cats and they love the Reiki energy, one in particular will come and sit on you or very near you when there is a Reiki treatment in session and happily sleep and purr contentedly to herself.
We have another cat who’s background is unclear as as she was a rescue and it took us around two and a half years before we could even stroke her.
The R.S.P.C.A said she would never go outside and she would probably never be a “normal cat” that would sit on your knee and be stroked.
Well it took a long time and the distance symbol Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen was used extensively for a long time And Sei He Ki The Reiki Symbol For Mental And Emotional Healing.
But the good news is that now we can stroke her and hear her purr and she does go outside with the other cats to enjoy the fresh air and experiences a safe and happy life.
Reiki like this can be practiced on all animals regardless of size the only limitations will be your creative solutions to some logistical issues…for example I would NOT suggest you pick a fish out of the tank to treat it but rather use the distance symbol or place my hands either side of the tank…I’m sure you get the idea.
Animal Reiki is not a magic cure nor is it an alternative to conventional veterinary care.
However it is a natural, calming therapy that helps promotes the body’s natural self-healing and is enjoyed by most animals.
